Hessonite garnet
Hessonite garnets, also known as Ceylon garnets, are a variety of orange to orange-red garnets. Their name comes from the Greek word "hesson", meaning "less", in reference to their chemical composition. Hessonite garnets are known for their energising and revitalising properties, and are often used in lithotherapy to stimulate creativity and vital energy. Their shimmering colour and brilliance make them popular gemstones in jewellery.
